Studies prove time and time again that learning or being exposed to a second language at an early age has tremendous benefits to children with even more benefits when you include a second language to a preschool program. So of course, Smarty Pants is now offering this wonderful new enrichment program. Our La Mini Fiesta Kiddos will be exposed to the Spanish language and culture while creating arts and crafts, cooking, playing games, singing, and dancing along with Ms. Bianca! In a fun, no pressure environment, our La Mini Fiesta Kiddos will love the Spanish Language language and feel comfortable using it. In no time, everyone will be having a La Mini Fiesta!

Creativity in the Kitchen for Kids! We will learn all about cooking and creativity in the kitchen with an active approach! We will also learn about where our foods come from, whether it is a special part of a specific culture, or where the ingredients are grown. Each class will feature a yummy culinary creation that we make together in our kitchen classroom.

Lil' Groovers is a dance program that uses dance as a powerful tool for supporting the development of social-emotional, cognitive, and motor skills. Children innately communicate through movement and many naturally respond to music through dance.

Your child will experience monthly themes that include:

-Step-By Step Age Appropriate Choreography

-Listening and Language Activities

-Rhythm and Math Activities

-Designing of Dance Props

Calling all city kids who want to learn about farm animals, plants, harvesting, and get some hands-on experience raising chickens...yes, a new brood will be arriving this spring. This enrichment class will be filled with hands-on experiences taking us from seed to table and coop to kitchen. We will be getting our hands dirty with our mini crops, learning about the responsibility of taking care of our chickens and reaping the benefits of both with veggies to harvest and chickens to love and eggs to eat and who knows maybe we will have a mini farmers market ;-). All of this will be through art, cooking, singing, dancing and of course lots of dirt and mud! If your city kid wants to expand their imagination and enjoy a lil' farm life at Smarty Pants, then this is the class for them!

A music and theater arts class especially for kids! A story or theater technique will be featured in each class and we will use them as our springboard for all kinds of music, movement, and dramatic play activities. We will sing, dance and act. Our Story Time Musical Theater students will be "featured" in our school-wide musical performances in both the winter & spring.
